Here are some of the top myths uncovered…
Noise: Metal roofing is often quieter than an asphalt shingle roof. When installed with solid sheathing, a metal roof on your home will silence noise from rain, hail and bad weather, much better than other roofing materials.
Rust: Because it’s made from aluminum, Interlock roofing products will not rust.
Dents: Metal roofing can take decades of abuse from extreme weather.
Walk-ability: The truth is that you can safely walk any metal roof without damaging it. Before you walk your roof, however, we recommend you talk to your installer first to get the details on how to walk on your particular roof. And, make sure that you don’t get on the roof when it wet, as moisture will make the roof surface slippery.
Snow: Snow slides off metal roofing. Depending upon the slope of your roof and your geographical location, you may wish to consider the use of snow guards. Color coded snow guards are available to match your roof and to protect walkways and property from unwanted snowfall, where such an occurrence is undesirable.
Lightning: A metal roof will absolutely not increase the likelihood of lightning striking your home, since metal roofing isn’t combustible or flammable. If your home were hit by lightning, your metal roof would disperse the energy charge safely throughout the structure. |

Re: Permanent Interlocking Metal Roofing
Dear Ted: The purpose of this letter is to express how very pleased we are with the quality and appearance of our permanent interlocking metal roof. Not only does our roof look terrific, it has a life guarantee that cannot be matched by most companies. The quality of the product; workmanship and installation are second to none.
As you are aware, I was initially somewhat skeptical of having a non traditional roof installed, however, you quickly convinced me otherwise when you fully explained the value and investment this product would provide, for example the energy savings, transferable warranty, and my favorite, never have to replace our roof again. Let me also add that you were most helpful in providing information on the company’s history and its product, in addition you supplied photos of other properties with roofs installed by Maritime Permanent; as well you showed us samples of the metal roof product and compared it to the traditional paper roof shingles. In a nut shell there is no comparison to the quality that is clearly evident in the metal roof product.
I would also like to express my thanks, specifically in your approach when responding quickly to correct the damaged gutters that occurred during the roofing installation. You handled the situation with a great deal of professionalism when you took the initiative to go beyond the “so called” expected parameters to ensure customer satisfaction. It further speaks to your dedication, dependability and loyalty to your clients in which I was very impressed and thankful.
In closing I would like to reiterate how pleased we are with our new roof and how satisfied we are with the service that you continually provide to us well after the installation of our roof. The interlocking metal roof has definitely enhanced the appearance to our home and increased its value. It was a very smart investment on our part. Please feel free to show samples of our home to future clients and let them know that such a purchase is definitely a move in the right direction.
Sincerely, The McCarthy’s Truro, Nova Scotia B2N 5R9 |

To Whom It May Concern:
A few words to say how satisfied we are with our new roof done by Maritime Permanent Roofing Ltd. What a difference this roof makes, the whole house looks so much better now. We are very pleased and impressed. Let me tell you that we have no regrets whatsoever. Before, we didn’t know what sort of roofing we wanted. Once we checked out asphalt roofing we knew that we wanted something other than that, but what? Years ago asphalt roofing was it; nowadays the price is much higher and add labor costs to it… also the material is no longer the same and so is the guarantee.
As luck or fate would have it, we went for a small drive around the neighbourhood and we happened across a roof just completed by Maritime Permanent Roofing Ltd. Well we liked what we saw, so we called up Paul and Nancy, people we already knew for info. Well they contacted a gentleman by the name of Ted Rector for us. In no time we heard from Ted. We found Ted very nice, reliable and professional and also a man who knows the product he sells and explains everything very clearly. What’s more, no pressure to buy.
It was a pleasure to meet you Ted Rector. We found the whole experience with Maritime Permanent Roofing Ltd. very pleasant. Everyone was nice, polite and efficient. The installers also are very neat. Imagine no cleaning up afterwards, everything was cleaned up daily.Nothing but peace of mind which is hard to find in today’s world. It was a pleasure meeting all of you and also doing business with you.
Great team work! Thank you very much and congratulations on a job well done!!!
Yours Truly,
Marie and Louise St-Thomas de Kent, New Brunswick |

Maritime Permanent Roofing 11 Morris Drive Dartmouth, NS C/0 Mr. Ted Rector
It is a satisfying pleasure to recommend the Maritime Permanent Roofing system.
I made initial contact last summer and was very pleased when Ted came to see me in October. He made a very thorough and informative presentation, which in no way tried to pressure me into anything. He painstakingly explained the product to me and its installation procedures.
I was convinced, and fortunately picked the color, dark green, that looks stunning on this older house with the same color of shutters.

To whom it may consern: Attn: Ted Rector
We met Ted at the Home Show in Moncton April 2010. We were in the market for a new roof. I just wanted to follow-up with you to let you know how pleased Paul and I are with our new roof. We both appreciate the time that Ted took to come to our house to explain everything. At no time did we feel pressured to purchase. But his time to share everything with us satisfied us. The installation was excellent. The clean up was perfect after each day and insured that we were completely satisfied before signing off. We've only had our roof for one week now. But the nice comments don't stop.
